I rarely have the problem and in part feel that abrupt braking is a contributing factor. FWIW, my Gallardo does exactly the same thing on occasion. Nover multiple times a lap and actually only in the heavy brake zone into Rattlesnake at MSR and only when I am trying to carry the power as long as possible. My solution is to then absolutely CRUSH the pedal and the car always slows and the pedal comes back after about a second, maybe less. It could be vacuum related as well, as manifold vacuum may take a second to accumulate under engine braking decel after a long period at WOT.

ABS delete soved ALL my ice mode problems.
I would consistently get ice mode in certain braking zones and it began so seriously suck. Since it sucked so much, I knew it wasn't a loss of vacuum problem
. I disconnected the front left ABS connector, and never had the problem again. For reference, 05 Elise, 225/50R15 Front 245/40R17 Rear, (sometimes a 225/45 front) sometimes R-compounds, sometimes sticky street tires. I use EBC yellow pads (which I highly recommend) and stock brake lines for now. For those of you autocrossers that must stay superstock legal.....well I bet that blows. |
