Very close clearance to the rear coil-overs. I switched from external reservoir Ohlins to the Nitron Pros to free up some space, otherwise the rears would have rubbed the fitting for the line. (according to my fuzzy math) It has been raining here in Socal, and I would never shoot pictures of a dirty car. I leave for Tokyo Thursday in hopes of new inspiration. Pics when I return.

so another month goes by and still no pics of these 16x8.5 and 17x9.5 wheels
C'mon we're worthy. I've only seen one other car with wider wheels (MPR forum member) and he won't disclose his offsets . All I know is they are Works S1's 17x8 and 18x9. Pic of his ride below. Who cares about the wheel weight bashers, break em out. |

That's way off from ET43. I'm pretty sure ET43 would be rubbing all over the suspension but what do I know, I don't even own one yet I believe his setup with that low offset would be more flush with the outside edge, he might be stretching the tires some though. I wish he would just post the pics, I'd love to see that aggressive set up It might be poking outside some though...I really think a 9" ET20 in the back would be more flush with the edge now that I did the numbers in the calculator. |

if you run 17/18 combo, and dont give a $hit anout the weight...there are many width and offset possibilities that are offered by MANY custom wheel manufacturers...here are some examples

I've done the math. 9" rears with ET43 would set the wheel towards the suspension 24mm which is pretty much a whole inch...I think it would rub the inside! It pushes the wheels out only 14mm which is a little more than 1/2 an inch from stock. Just from looking at pics of stock wheels and how they are so recessed, I know you could easily push the wheel edge out an additional 38mm (1 1/2"). That would be an ET20 with a 9" wheel and it keeps the back clearance the same so you don't risk rubbing the suspension. Wow! I'm becoming kind of a mad scientist with all of this stuff, but it's addictive....ya know.
