Powdercoated Gramlights 57S wheels

The color is a love em or hate em, but the shop did a beautiful job! Rims were bead blasted and degreased. Next, a base coat of a chromish type of base paint was applied and partially baked in oven. Then, rims were painted with candy blue and back into the oven for final baking. Finally, got clearcoat on it.

Also got my billet aluminum spark plug cover (AKA RRE Hot Dog Grille) powdercoated glossy black. I would've loved to powdercoat the hot dog grille the same as my wheels, but i'm trying to keep my engine bay as stock looking as possible.

Absolutely stunning! My first thought was how they would look on my Laser Blue, but that might be too much. On the grey it look great. Add blue doublestripes down the body, and you will have a masterpiece.

I like the gold on the Scooby blue, but it just doesn't work for me on any other color.

These should look bitchin' on Graphite Gray - nice contrast to that deep gray.

Let's see some pics when they're mounted up!

Ahhhh... the Battle of the Colored Wheels!

Hey, with a base coat, color coat and clear coat, shouldn't they be called Gramheavy?

What color Elise are you putting these on?

blue flame hotter than red flame. So my wheels are faster than yours! LOL

The red looks like they came out nice. Which Gramlights do you have? Oh, i hear Mackin will be raising prices on all Volk wheels very soon...
