but isn't Toyo planning to have a new compound for the R888? So does this mean that the "New" R888 still won't be as long lasting as the RA-1s?

Just spoke with AIM Tires, if they don't have something in stock Toyo is making new stock but not until January - which isn't far off. But confirmed every size in that list will be made. They have the fronts in 15 but nothing for the rears in 16 - January, still that's great news

I purchased 3 sets of RA1's earlier this year when I found it they were going to stop making them. Ive used one set up, have one set on my car that is down to 3 grooves and still have a brand new set waiting to be mounted.. Good news that they will start making them again as these will not last me long.

I've been buying used RA-1s in 275-40-17 and I see that tire size is here to stay!
