Raising the ride height.
There have been a lot of comments about lowering the car. But what about raising the ride height of the car? It is possible that some people are sick of rubbing the nose on the ground, and would like with a little less ultimate grip during normal street driving.
I would personally like to know how to raise and lower the car so I could customize the ride height depending on my needs of the time. Is it possible to increase the ride height from the base suspension? How much higher could it go, and what potential problems would you have to look out for? I'll look at the lowering threads to figure out how to get it back to normal. I don't have my car yet. This is just for a philosophical discussion (for now). |

It's not that complicated. The base car comes with three height settings, and the middle one is the as-delivered setting. So you can raise all four corners to the maximum, one step up. The height change is about 5 mm at the shock and maybe 6-8 mm at the wheel, effectively. Basically to do this, each coil over is removed (two bolts) and the spring compressed so that it can be temporarily removed or moved out of the way so that you can move the perch to expose the c-clip. Then with a pair of pliers you move the c-clip to the next groove higher.
