Ride height adjustment options?

'05 Buzzbomb, standard (Touring ) suspension. Moving to Dunlop Star Specs 205/50/16 fronts and 235/45/17 rears on Rota Torque rims.

This is adding about 6mm to the overall ride height and I'd like to mitigate that and some.

What are my options?

1. Change out the coilovers for adjustable ones.
2. Machine the body of your factory dampers with another retaining groove.
3. Custom make yourself some new coilover mounts.
4. Install the lowering uprights as sold by eliseparts I think.

The factory shocks have either two or three positions for adjustments - depending on VIN #. I know because I've tried all three on my '05. I settled on the middle position.

If you have a 2008 Exige S, most likely you already have the lowest setting from factory.

Just bought a set of Sachs single adjustable coilovers...
[SOLD] Sach's Single Adjustable $1300!!!

Cheap and cheerful. They seem to be the most streetable option, with the softest spring rates. I'll report back next week with photos and spinal x-rays.
