Do you have a release date for the: 205/45/16 and 225/45/16? Plan on using them on another car.

Toyo said they are not even on the water yet, so at least 30-60 days if not more.

Dave, do you have both the 205 45/16 (front) and 235/40-17 (rear) sizes currently in stock? I know those rear sizes are already available from some retailers, but it was my understanding that those front sizes we need were still potentially months away.

Please let us know. I am ready to make a move on these tires now if they are available and the price is right. Very glad to hear that you will be stocking them.

Thanks

Since being a forum sponsor you should know that this tire does not come in stock LSS sizes.

THey have a UTQG of 140. They fall in between the R888 and T1R in the product lineup.

The 235/40ZR17 is readily available. the 205/45ZR16 is still a couple of months out.

Looks like the 205/45ZR16 front sizes have finally hit the market to match the 235/40ZR17 rears, which were already available. Anyone picked up a set yet?

I need a new set of tires. (mostly back ones) I think the sizes 205/45ZR16 front and the 235/40ZR17 rears are slightly wider and about 1/2 inch larger diameter than the stock sizes. Is that a problem mouted on LSS wheels? Should we expect any rubbing when the front wheels are cranked all the way to one side or the other? Anyone else running these sizes on LSS wheels?

have you tried the red ones? hear their faster then the black ones.

If I remember right 235/40-17 are a little smaller then the stock 225/45-17 by around1/2 an inch. Right now I have 235/45-17 on and they are fine but are a bit bigger (by maybe an inch) then stock. If you are going to track it do NOT get 235/45s.

I would suggest getting the 205/45s up front, and the 245/40s in back. Plus pull the shims up front. This is supposedly a good balance and the 245/40 are about the same diameter as stock. When the time comes this will be my #2 wheel and tire set up.

Well.. I stand corrected. For anyone who wants to know, I found the following #s for diameter when searching. I guess this could vary a few tenths of an inch from MFG to MFG maybe depending on tread deapth?? These are overall diams of toyo proxes4 (They had lots of sizes to look at) The last # is overall width - Anyone come up with different numbers?

Rear:
225/45/17 - 25.1 in - 9.1W stock size
235/40/17 - 24.4 in - 9.6W available in the toyo R1R
245/40/17 - 24.7 in - 9.8W not available in toyo R1R but on roadmap.

Front:
195/50/16 - 23.8 in - 7.8W stock size
205/45/16 - 23.3 in - 8.3W Available in toyo R1R

It appears that MFG does make a difference. Found this thread from Robert with a bit different #s.

RE01-R - 205/45-16 is 23.2" tall and 8.1" wide.
A048 - 195/50-16 is 23.6" tall and 8.0" wide.

RE01-R - 235/40-17 is 24.4" tall and 9.5" wide.
RE01-R - 245/40-17 is 24.7" tall and 9.8" wide.
A048 - 225/45-17 is 24.9" tall and 8.9" wide.

Different tire brands will be a bit different on the same size tire.

Also some of the measurements listed I think differ from what the tire really is.

I forget what size diameter I was expecting when I got my last set of rear tires but the tire is a bit bigger then what I expected. The tire works fine for street-highway use and as of now I will get this size again assuming my needs stay the same.
