Tires

I was looking up tires on TireRack.com for my Elise Touring model, they state that Lotus tires should not be expose to temperatures of 10 degrees or colder??? Due to their composition. Do I have to bring them inside for the winter? Or just take the weight off them and leave them be????

...or move to CA or FL
Seriously, there are some threads on this and the conclusion, as I recall, is that a cycle of cold tempature can harm the tire compound.

I am not sure how cold damages them, but if they say it does I am not going to take any chances. My wheels/tires go into my basement and my Elise sits all winter on a set of space saver spares from the junkjard. This also prevents any possible flat spotting of the Yokos. from sitting in one place all winter long.
