Transport wheels
I'm in the process of getting the damaged front end on my '05 Elise fixed and I would like to transport it to a couple different shops as it cannot be driven. My constraint is that the vehicle I will use to accomplish this has an opening that is about 65" wide, narrower than the front track of the Elise. What I like to find are some inexpensive rims that will:
1 - clear the calipers 2 - set the tires in about an inch on each side, about a 2" track reduction I realize this will look goofy but this is ONLY for transport, nothing else. I'm thinking a front wheel drive 4X100 ?? will work. Has anyone done something like this? |
