Valve Removal from Wheel
I am one day away from getting my wheels taken to the Powder Coat factory...hehehe
I was doing some last minute cleanup on the wheel and noticed that when the dealership removed the tires from the stock wheels (touring pack) they left the valve stem that is used to fill air in the tire... Is there a method in which to remove this device...I just tried for about 20 minutes with some pliers and a little pull to no avail. I don't want to ruin the seal by pulling and possibly tearing the valve stem. Thanks, |

Aren't these usually replaced every time new tires are mounted? In which case, don't worry about damaging it, just be careful not to damage the wheel.
Might want to just take them to a tire store and see if they'll help you out.

I don't know
I just removed the tires so that I can get the wheels powdercoated.
The same tires are going back on the wheels. If it is easy to just buy new stems and not worry about this, then that is cool...do you know the dimensions or stats for the type of valve to be purchased. Thanks, John |
