Vibrations in my Steering Wheel are gone! (Corner Balancing with Stan)

On Sunday, Stan (aka The Banned) came over to my house and we lowered my car about an inch and corner balanced the car. Stan has Ruddle scales that are specifically designed for corner balancing the car. The first thing we noted was that the car was acceptable with it's corner balancing. It was better than most stock vehicles, but Stan insisted that he could get it much better.

First we adjusted the heights of the front wheel to where we wanted them. All along making sure the corner ratios were in proper balance. Then we lowered the rear heights and then adjusted them to the proper balance. Then Stan had me sit in the car and we made adjustments so that it would be properly balanced with my fat a$$ in the car.

Amazingly enough, today I drove the car and it is the first time I did not experience any vibrations in my steering wheel over 80 mph. Both my Elises always had a vibration in the steering whenever I approached or went over 80 mph. This happened with AD07's and AO48's. I had the alignments checked and the wheels rebalanced and nothing would get rid of it. Well today I brought it up to 100 (very irresponsible of me, I know) and the steering was just like it is at 30mph, rock solid.

I recommend that if anyone is experiencing vibrations in their steering wheel, have your car corner balanced on scales. It works, and Stan tells me that it's not expensive.
