2-tone Alcantara interior {PICS}

I've gotten requests both online and in person to post some pics of my Elise's interior, so here they are.

I had it done mostly in red and black Alcantara (including the headliner and trim pieces on the hardtop) with some smooth black leather in places (teardrops, parts of seats, boots) to tie it together. All the stitching was done in red. Also, it has the Lotus Sport shifter, Lotus Sport stalks, Hangar111 door panel buttons and Sector111 DOWNlow driver's seat rail. It has the premium pack, so the shift knob, cupholder, compartment divider and head unit were already there.

Looks incredible...I love the all alcantara dash. It gives the car a much more expensive look. It also reminds me of the 111S alcantara many of us saw on the euro demo car.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was all the work.

Absolutely beautiful! Your interior is the nicest I've ever seen. The company that performed the work did a phenomenal job. I'm jealous!

I like it a lot. The contrasting stitching is uber sweet.

Almost forgot, your interior would look much nicer with the aluminum carpet buttons from Sector 111.

Wow, thanks for all the compliments on the interior! My friend has a hookup at Platinum Motorsport here in Los Angeles and he handled everything for me. Therefore, it was a price that was done on a "friend," not "client," basis and I was asked not to disclose it. In keeping with his request, I can only say that it would be in the price-range of a supercharger or turbo kit (installed).

I wrote down everything I wanted along with some pictures and gave it to him and the car was trailered over. I actually never spoke to anyone at the shop during the time this interior work was done, so yes you could say that it was done on the down-low.

My best advice is to give a call to a shop that you see putting out top quality work and handling custom work on exotics, and tell them what you want done. Definitely don't just stop by any ol' shop and ask for a quote. Make sure you've seen their work before and that it's the quality you're looking for. I've had enough cars done that I can definitely say that the old addage is correct: you get what you pay for.

See his post above yours.

SC kit is about $5k... $6-7k installed. Turbo kit is about $12k... maybe $14k installed.

So $7-14k for that work I'd assume.

That looks great, but if anyone at Lotus is looking at this: I'm darn happy with the plastic parts that are in the car as are most other owners. Lighter is better.
