Another Trim Shop interior

It took a solid three months to get it (new seats, sill covers, and door inserts), but I guess I should be thankful that I got what I ordered and everything fit right.

I ordered through Robert Puertas with Blackwatch racing. They were great to work with. They take the risky approach of getting the order in quickly (since it's a long wait) and then sweating whether you will actually pay them later.

Looks great. How much did the seats and door trim cost? What are the sills made of and do you think they will hold up?

The seats are about $1200 each.

The sill covers are leather. I had my old sills covered by a local shop in leather and they held up for at least the last year. The color wasn't quite an exact match, which was why I changed to these. You definitely have to be more careful. They're more comfortable to rest your arm on, though.

Robert has posted itemized pricing in other trim shop threads. My whole package came to just under $3000.

That's not what I would do with my interior, but the quality of the work looks great and I'm always impressed by the trim shop.

By the way, do they have a catalog? How did you choose what you wanted?

I can understand that. It's great that the trim shop gives you freedom to choose what you like. This pattern I settled on is "tame" compared to other options I mapped out.

Even though I like it, I'll admit it's a bit much and doesn't entirely work.

I think I would paint the climate control surround black or wrap it in tan leather if I were you. It's the only thing in your interior that is really body color.

I know I could probably do a search and find this but if you don't mind too much can you give me a link to the trim shop selections?

Good point. I welcome honest input like that.

The "elise" badges on the side I would remove if I easily could. I placed them there out of curiosity, then discovered their adhesive is insanely strong.

I like all of it except the chrome Elise lettering under the door sills, the red leather shift and handbrake boots, and the red A/C surround. The boots should either be black, or tan leather like the rest. Just my opinion, but other than that I think it looks great!

You should be able to at least get it off, leaving a lot of really sticky adhesive behind though right? If so, you can remove that with 3M Tar/Wax/Adhesive remover.

Here's a good starting point. Give me a minute and I'll scan and post the seat trim template that dealers use. My pattern, it turns out, doesn't fit the template - they seemingly will do whatever you want.

Probably. I really did try. You can barely tell in the picture but I mucked up the one on the driver's side pulling on it with pliers before deciding "it looks pretty good after all".

Thanks to everyone who is giving suggestions.

Did you remove the carpeting? How did you get the rails off?

I love it, and like the red leather shifter boot and brake boot. They tie in well with the red leather at the top of the seats. I agree the with those who think the red AC surround should be black. It shouldn't stand out so much. Black would help it tie in with the carpeting and the edges of the seats. I like the leather door sills but couldn't have them in mt car-it's a daily driver so I can imagine the driver's side would take a beating. All in all, very nice.

Looks like it was made from three different cars. +1 on changing the AC surround. Mismatched gauges don't help either. The cup holder is an interesting idea, but it looks ginormous. ELISE placards are busy looking.

I do like the leather covered side bolsters with logos, however.

Just my 2 pennies.
