The Best Wing on the Market...

So who's running the Reverie Motorsports wing? Would I be the first?
http://www.sector111.com/products/pe..._rear_wing.cfm

It seems to be the most functional wing on the market right now. It's designed by Simon and tested on the Exige at MIRA and I'm thinking that I may need to buy myself a belated birthday present...

The question is simple, how much will my wife hate it? Surely she wouldn't leave me for such a mod

I obviously realize that the super trick front splitter: http://www.sector111.com/products/pe...er-spoiler.cfm

would have to go on the car to keep the balance right. The wife won't need to know about that mod though She's a wonderful person, she just doesn't understand the obsession...

With all that extra downforce I should have confidence sufficient to build up enough speed to plow straight into the wall

Someone PLEASE talk me out of this stuff... I've already put myself on a one week cool off period, but that started last friday! So tomorrow the cool off period is officially over...

Cheers,

Phil

Cant decide for myself if i like 1245mm wide one or 1650mm wide wing. Second one is more downforce, but i dont feel like chopping up the rear clam. Plus a wing this high and wide will remind me my lil trips in STI. Kinda blocking the rear view or smth. Still 1650 got the cool factor. Too bad i dont care much.
(i guess i would pick the long one if it was just a cent more expensive...)

I think those items will make your car safer, it will stay on the ground better..... it is all about safety
I dig the curve on the wing, different, catching.
Have fun.

Best wing? Pilatus PC-6, without a doubt.

I hadn't thought about the safty argument... Thats a good one... but you're trying to talk me into it with that...I need reasons not to buy it

It is a darn big wing... I guess if it's too big, I could always trim a few inches of each side

Best,

Phil

Fuctionally it won't do much at low speed, so where are you racing it?

If it is for looks that's a different question.

Well, the cool off period expired and other than maintaining my marriage, opportunity cost of funds, reluctancy to drill holes in the clam, and the questionable final appearance of the massive (yet functional) wing, I couldn't find one good reason not to buy it... So Neil collected my billing info today and packaged the wing up to ship it out

I went ahead and picked up the front Exige splitter (the real one) to help balance out the car. The tracks I go to are pretty fast, some 5th gear action and lots of 4th, so I think the additional df will be kind of nice. I hope that's the case. It will be a nice break from all the engine/power related mods of late too...

I'm told I'm the first one to get the new Reverie Motorsports wing, so I'll be sure to post pics on ET and the website...

Best,

Phil
