Custom interior trim idea

I'm not sure who's car that is, but I found that pic here on E-talk. I simply photoshopped in the BRP (or close to)/Black leather interior combo.
Would this look good with a BRP car?

Basically BRP (color matched as close as possible) w/ black leather and BRP stitching.
The seats would be black leather (w/ BRP stiching) in the spaces between the padding.
The cloth around the edges of the seat would be replaced completely with black leather to watch the rest of the seat.
Replace aluminum shifter/e-brake bits with black leather.

How does the Lotus Trim shop work? Do I have to physically remove all the affected interior parts, ship it, then wait for the final product? Or do I simply get a new set of door inserts, seats, etc, etc?
Is this something dealers can do for me? (Newport European?)

Soul,
I had some parts done by the factory trim shop. I suppose you can take your parts off and ship them, but by the time you finished paying shipping you'd be out lots of money. The parts I ordered door panels, I just ordered the components ie door inserts done in yellow perfed leather. They did it on new insert bodies. Better to keep your original stuff if god forbid you hate the way the new stuff looks and also have your car stripped of bits while you wait for the 6 week turnaround time.

You can't order directly from the factory trim shop, you have to go through a dealer, at the time my dealer parts guy had no knowledge of this (they do now) and so I ordered from hangar111 in UK. By this stage ANY US dealer should now know about trim shop work.

Here's the lotus cars link to the trim shop info. It also includes Mel Broome's email. I suggest you drop him an email first and give him your ideas, he might make some suggestions or other ideas as well.

I think the car with brp interior bits you speak of was in the "saturday service at Southbay thread""

I got these for SouthBay Lotus this weekend but the car in the picture above isn't mine. Looks like the exterior is Storm Ti.

Leather center console with BRP dyed leather: $340
Lotus Sport floor mats: $135.

I ordered a gear shifter (stand alone) for Newport European also.

I'd also be interested in BRP insert (small tear drop) at some point in the future. Any idea on how much they'd cost? But I'm also concern it may not match the shifter's leather.

I ordered some (perforated CO ones) about 3 weeks ago for $147.20 (after tax). They haven't come in yet though.

Well Mel, wrote back and said that the standard Ruby Red leather is the nearest they can match to BRP. Parts would have to be ordered through Lotus Cars USA via my local dealer... which I'll look into this Friday. Hopefully Newport European will know what I'm after.

Hey that's my car. I got my interior upgrades from Mel @ Lotus through my dealer South Bay. I was one of the first in USA to use the after trim service in August of 2005.

Hey, where can I get those lovely custom "Lotus" floor mats? With the lettering as it shows on these pics?
Thanks!

I got mine frome the dealer before I ever worked there. I just brought my car in for a missing bolt that holds the carpet down and they replaced my mats too. I'm sure it's available from the parts department. If you don't have a dealer near you can always order over the phone and have them ship to you.

IMO, the first pics of the black seats with red inserts are gorgeous. This would probably need to be custom done locally.
