Custom Painting by CARS

Just had this custom paint work done by Rich and Chuck from Customized Automotive Resonating Systems (CARS). These guys are meticulous, and do beautiful work--it completely changes the feel of the interior, IMO. The painting is flawless, and matches perfectly. They also do a parts exchange, for a deposit, they do the painting on parts they stock, so you don't lose the use of your car in the meantime.

Not an employee or a paid sponsor, just a happy customer. Check out the pictures, and there's more on their website, Home_Page.

Looks gorgeous. They did an especially nice job on the spark plug cover.

Vent rings are overkill IMO.

You know, I thought so too, at first, when I was deciding what to do. But then I decided it would do a nice job bringing the whole scheme together--it sort of flows from the doors down through the A/C and then to the console. I'm glad I did it that way.

But to each his/her own...definitely a matter of personal taste.

Very nice. Does your driver seat not scratch it up when you move the seat forwards and backwards?

Congrats - really looks great

I like the rings painted. It gives it a very cool custom look IMO

It wouldn't work work with all colors, but is does with yours.

BTW - is that the stock color from '05 ?

It's stock Canyon Red, 2007 model year. On the scratching thing, not a problem on my car. They warned me that has been an issue with the Elise but apparently either they put the holes for my drivers seat further over than for most, or they just got the location right by the '07 model year. Either way, my seat is nowhere near the console, so not a problem.

The implication was that I liked the rest of it. I'm a perfectionist at heart, and I tend to seek imperfections in anything I'm faced with. I really need to work on that

Now, don't leap to conclusions, John.

Beast’s real mark devalued to ‘616′

I think the vent rings look awesome in red.
I think, overall, it would look better if the heater/ac controls shroud was black though.

GREAT WORK!!!
Makes a great car all that more custom and special. I like the painted vent rings, as well as all the other parts that really stand out.
Thanks for sharing.

Very nice work, especially the coil cover. I would have thought the vent rings would be a bit much, but I like them in red.

+1, I don't normally like the vent rings painted, but the canyon red looks great in this case. Very tasteful!
