Driver seat removal HELP!!!

I removed my driver's seat to install seat grommets, Harness bar and 4 pt belts.... however, i wanted to make sure which wires go back with what (2). they are both orange but 1 has a purple strip. also the car has 2 back waires and 1 with a purple strip. one would assume that the purple strip would match but i just want to make sure. any help???

also the "L" shape brackets for the driver's seat go with the back "L" facing the rear for support ???/ correct???

thanks
ben

Hey Ben! The wires you are referring to are for the seatbelt dash light and buzzer. Personally, I just kept them disconnected when I put in my harnesses, as otherwise it will annoy the bejeebees out of you, if reconnected anyway!

There are 2 small inserts that look like little "L's" that fit in the rear-most part of the seat rail channel. Mine fell out when I removed my seat, and similar to the wires, I just kept them OUT on re-installation. The seat now actually feels MORE secure than it originally did (it used to "rock" slightly, as full OEM). Unless anyone knows of any safety reason or anything those should be put back in, personally, I would just leave 'em out too.

Eldersburg, Eh? ...I'm right around the corner in Sykesville. You the lad I've met once at the Sat Cruisers night at Home Depot? If so, glad to see you've now also joined LT. - WELCOME!

Wish it was that easy to disconnect almost all of the useless buzzers, alarms, bongs (not that kind, the sound) in my other cars.

Grant,
thanks for the reply. If the wires are not re-connected....the seat belt light will not come on? No Buzzers/?? if so I will leave them un-connected.... & Yes we have met at the Home Depot in Eldersburg.

ps. it's a pain in the butt to cut those holes in the seats.....be glad yours already had them.
