I can't vouch for what he uses, but I've used thin brushed aluminum for labels before. Works just fine.

Its actually a adhesive backed metalized polyester film with a brushed aluminum look. It does look like aluminum, but I would never recommend sticking this to paint as its near impossible to remove once its been on for a while.

This is just a real a wild guess, and since you said on "the inside tub rails", I'm wondering if you mean the personalized aluminum plates that look like the one in these pics?

If so, let me know. I make these up for fellow ETalkers.

Regards,
Wayne

I do provide them. And Chili Red gave the correct answer, as far as the whole metalized polyester film thing. Also true it is a little more effort to remove and comes off in smaller pieces, the same as chrome like the factory letters. The continuous outdoor life rating of the aluminum film is one year. If your car is outside 24/7 you will want to remove it within this time period or it will be more difficult after that. The chrome film I supply is rated for 3 years continous outdoor use and is the highest quality made at this time. Most of my more standard colors have no problem holding up to their 9 year rating which without care your paint should be so lucky.

I also stock metallic, reflective, holographic, and whole host of other weird things. Even glow in the dark, and chameleon films are available to be special ordered for a ludacrous price. Gold leaf, etched glass, etc. This stuff has come a long way in the past decade.

As far as inside tub rails? I'm guess Wayne is your man on that. Not sure what else you would be referring to. His plaques are awesome though.

Why don't you scour the U.S. and U.K. E-bay sites.
Plenty of Elise stuff can be found there.
