Sometimes a bolt gets loose and starts rolling around. And there's only one way to find it.

Nice pics, btw. Thanks.

So can you walk us through how to get the side panels off? I know about the cubby screws for the small panel and the two inside. What's next?

So is there really a channel to run wires underneath the passenger airbag that would not inhibit the operation of the passenger airbag?

Also after now seeing the dash apart, do you think there is a better place to run stereo wires from the headunit to the center channel or the side sill?

If I'm reading the pics right, it looks like the channel is below and behind the airbag. Shouldn't be any problems and might be shielded to boot.

nasty rattle (metal clip)... and lotus was nice enough to keep my alarm ecu in cobra's plastic wrapping.. they also left a zip tie over the plug harness.. the touring foam didn't help either..

the dash took about 1.5 hr to take apart.. putting it back together took the rest of the afternoon.. you must break the airbag cover to remove the side part and the center part.. no worries though, new plastic screws are 1 buck a piece at the dealer..

I think that was made intentional after all of the alarm ecus that were shorting out from leaks around the a-pillar.

My Final Offer!!!

I'll give you $18,000 for the car since it looks like a total loss!

Really, this is great. I wish the service manual had photos!
