Finally, dark-red cover

So I finally fulfilled my dream of having a S2 in the same color as my former S1.

(Actual car is an Elise S, the european 140 hp version)

Lotus doesn´t do colored covers anymore, so I had to find a saddler willing to give it y try.

Here is the result:

I personaly don´t like the silver car with a black top. Too boring IMHO.
But, then, with the dark-red cover and inner red-leather, I am convinced I drive the most elegant car of the world.

I would like a fabric top that matched the colour of my car.

Looks quite good. I've seen a lot of silver boxsters with red tops that look absolutely horrible, but it really suits the Elise.

Sweet.

I always wondered what a red top on a red car would look like.

I also thought of a Synthetic-Leather silver top for my car. But I really doubt that this will look good.
because it will quick get wrinckles. And the shiny finish will reveal the underlying construction.
Trying would be nice, but that means buying an extra soft-top and eventually putting it in the bin in the case it doesn´t work.

Totally. It really looks chic and shows good-taste. It looks more like a luxury car than a sport car, but I like that is stands a little bit apart from the rest of the bright-colored Lotuses during meetings.

Yes.
And , to be honest, it´s not perfect either. It looks great when the car is parked, but after 190 km/h drives on the highway, the front lip catches wind and tends to move back 10mm on arrival. The cable brings it back to the normal position after a few minutes, but that shows the limits of this tuning.

Mmh. You look like you´re the real Batman. I´ll have to apply as Robin then...
Great car, great parking place!
