Front license plate bracket.. again..

I've used up 2 BWR front license plate mounting bracket in the last 4 months. I like the BWR brackets, but both of them have snapped off just under the bolt mount. I guess there's a lot of stress there due to the bracket being push-pulled back and forth from the impacts to the license plate.

Before I buy yet another BWR bracket, does anyone have alternative suggestions for a front license plate mount?

Build your own with the tow hook. I used some scrap aluminum. It just rides around in the trunk. I figure when I get pulled over, I'll BS and put it on, hope for the best.

I used a rail tie. It was cheap and pretty easy to do (took about 10 minutes):

Again?

For 2 years, I ran with pic 1; Scanned copy of plate, reduced 15%, printed on glossy professional photo paper, trimmed, laminated, double sided tape.

Then last summer was hassled twice in one month, but no tickets just warnings. So made bracket in pic 2; Aluminum upside down T, bent in two places, but it cracked so added reinforcement, long bolt, washer, spacer, foam rubber between plate and body. The laminated copy is still behind the real plate.

i mounted mine in the center of the windshield.i tapped the edges with gaffers tape.used 2 suction cups for the top 2 holes.the plate slides down between the dash and windshield so it does not block my view.i just could not find a way to mount it to the front of the car that i liked.
