Handbrake Gaiter Install -Lotus Part

I saw this gaiter on a 2006 Elise Sport Pack car at the dealer. Always thought not having a cover left an unfinished look.

I ordered the part and installed it last night. Took all of 10 minutes and gives a nice, finished look to the brake handle.

Price was $55 from the dealer.

Gaiter consists of black leather attached to a rigid plastic frame that slips over the "tunnel" between the seats. Slips right over the brake handle and locks in place on the tunnel with 2 velcro/adhesive tabs on either side of the gaiter frame.

Matches perfectly the leather on the seat and gear shift.

BTW, Lotus Part # is A120V0172J, Gaiter - Handbrake.

Regards,
Wayne

Thanks, glad you like it.

I got the Lotus stickers, (there are 2 of them, one on each side of the shift housing) off ebay. He makes them in Black and White. $4 for two.

Here is the link to his auction:

Thank you so much Wayne! I'll have to buy a bunch...and I'll also look into ordering the handbrake boot. I agree that it "finishes" off the look. Very nice indeed!

Handbrake cover looks great. I have Alan Gunn's, but like the way the Lotus one goes over the console.

SweetDaddyD does a great job with stickers, logo, etc.

Wayne...it looks great! Good find.

Do you know the part # from Lotus?

Do you have to stick ahesive vecro on your tunnel in order to have a secure fit? I'd rather not put any sticky stuff on my carbon fiber center console.

thanks

Justin,
Lotus Part # is A120V0172J. Description is : Gaiter - Handbrake. Dealer Price was $51.24 plus tax.

FWIW, I had to wait 3 weeks to get the gaiter. They didn't have it in the US warehouse.

The gaiter comes with 2 velcro patches already attached to the sides of the part, see photo above. You certainly can remove these velcro pieces from the gaiter and just let it self-seat. The fit is snug enough to stay in place without the velcro, IMO.

Regards,
Wayne

I think they were standard with the touring pack. It's a UK spec car, of course

Wayne, thanks for the pictures. Liked it so much I went to Southbay Lotus, they had one, and even installed it for me. Makes things look cleaner in there. Now for the stickers.
