Has anyone put driving lights on their Elise?

Lotus equipment or after-market? How much? Thx.

Kits are now readily available at many dealers and you can find some detailed posts in the forum describing installation. I chose to have the dealer install mine, which will set you back around $500 total ($300 for the lights, 200 for the install). All kits I know of are wired to work in concert with the high beams, which makes them pretty useless. They are essentially a decorative item. One last tidbit -- you will end up with a 1/4" drilled hole showing in the bottom corners of your grill opening after they install the lights. I'm guessing that the stock grill must fasten there, whereas the shorter grill for the lights does not.

The feedback I have received from owners with my Install is that the driving
lights provided improved high speed driving, I have used these myself and I do
not find them to be just a decorative item when aimed properly. The 1/4 hole
can be filled and painted if desired.
All the best, Don

What did you fill the hole with? Are you doing your high-speed driving at night with the high-beams on, or have you figured out how to decouple the driving lights?

They are not decorative - the driving lights are "axillary" high beam lights, not the normal "fog lights" that are installed on most cars the only function with low beam lights.

The driving lights are functional supplements for the high beams.
