How to get Recaro for My 06 elise

Hi all,

I was just wondering what's the best way to get a recaro seat to my 06 elise? I know the CUP seat is a Recaro Apex, but is it modified? Can I simply get a new recaro apex and use the stock seat base?

Thanks!!

I don't know if it is modified.

The Lotus Sport Recaro uses different seat mounts. The stock ones will not work.

The Recaro in the Exige Cup cars isn't modified, but it doesn't use the stock seat frame either. I believe it uses a Recaro base and is bolted in place.

I am fairly sure that Lotus Sport makes the seat frame for the Recaro.

This is the Lotus Sport Competition Seat Mount Kit.

It also comes with the harness mounts that you will need as you will not be able to use the stock 3-point belts with that seat. I don't think the 3-point will work properly with the high sides of that seat. I guess someone will have to test one to find out for sure

Yes for the belts -- No for the Recarro seat to the floor mounting in my two Cup cars.

I am not sure I follow...

Are you saying that you have a different seat mount to the one I posted?

Thinking of it I don't know what I have in the 2-Eleven for mounting my Recaro seat, I was too busy in China to have a look at it

More info on group buy, please. Also, can you give the Recaro part number for the seat mount?

Thanx

Jerry
