Yeah, that's how I roll.

There's not much 'new' to talk about. Many of us have our cars in storage (going to snow on Thurs so mine went to my storage place last night), so no events/drives or anything else to speak about.

Might as well resurrect old threads that are funny - of note, Red Panda, Arashi, Lambo Doors, TV headrests. Comic gold.

A ricey wing? A lot of people on this forum have that same wing including myself. It is actually functional compared to other wings like the GUT or the elise supercharged wing, which looks a lot more ricey. The doors on the other hand are hideous and ricey IMO.

That beam in our door is not a side-impact protection beam. That aluminum extrusion will do $h!t in a side impact. That beam is the main structural support for the door. Fiberglass is not strong enough to support the door from the forward edge of the door…point load. That beam picks up the front of the door and the back to distribute that load across the whole door. If that beam is not utilized or substituted in the new hinge design, that is reason enough for me not to buy it. I bet that is where they claim their weight savings… I’m not even going to go into the hinge design…

HAHA this is sooooo stupid and is the biggest waste of money for any car. I'm guessing he meant that it adds 20 pounds, because there is no way replacing the aluminium hinge for most likely steel hinges is going to save anything.

I hope this thread is revived for years to come, as it adds such comedic relief!
