That sounds pretty cool.

So it could be two slding halves with a lock that kept either of them from sliding over the other...lightweight!

yeah nothing electric and i am in. . . dont even need a lock because it doesnt look like a compartment. Let us know a price and I think you will have your fill of orders!

I prefer non-electric also. I prefer a hidden lock, but am OK without it.

Me Too! Looks great! Even if it didn't have a complete locking mechanism, it would still be a great mod. I like the idea of magnetic catches.

i was thinking of making something like this.but in carbon fiber.i need a place to store my registration and insurance card.i had it taped in the truck for awhile.now its in the tray.put my cell phone over it so it doesnt blow away.not very secure.maybe i will look into this.
