I love it. I hate the black dash in my car and I like the lighter colors since it makes the interior of the car cooler in the sun. When I asked if they were going to offer a choice of dash colors before the car came out, they said they cant go with light colors since some European law requires dark dashes that dont reflect the sun onto the windshield. Guess that has changed since a Porsche at work is blue with an all tan dash and interior.
Dont care for the body colored side fins, I would like to see all the plastic trim in white and have a white or similar stripe down the middle of the car and maybe white wheels. I dont know why they put in black carpet, I would have gone with the stone color or the red instead, I saw that is an option in the parts manual and think it would look better since nothing else in the interior is black, except the steering wheel and column which would look better if it was another color. Seriously, white or light colored dash WILL reflect light onto the windshield making it harder to see out. I know this from driving my finacee's cayman S with light beige dash. Never thought about it, but it's very noticable.
Yah, and it looks like a Barbie mobile... Cheers, Skottoman

we need lotus to make manlier cars not gayer cars. The elise is bad enough as it is. I know every time an exige owner makes fun of an elise owner for having a girly car their 10 grand spent wins the argument. Lotus please make aggressive track looking cars not cars britney spears would try to fit in.

it should be called the Las Vegas, or maybe the Hollywood, but not the California... but it doesn't surprise me that people from another state or country would have that image... Oh well. Reminds me of the beautiful "california girls" stereotype... another one which is sorely wrong.... wrong country in fact.
If it was all natural shades of green and brown it could be the california... but it'd have to be an electric/hybrid conversion... practical note: leather on the door sills is a terrible idea under any circumstance unless you don't mind it looking water stained and thrashed. |
