Ordered a black Alacantara, carbon look leather, OJ stitching with a small OJ stripe from Robert. I dwaddled on this for a long time and I think I'll be happy with the final result. With a CO car the seats and OJ leather can be a bit too much IMO. I think that we've put together a very 'subtle' look.
Decided to go with one seat only. I figured I'd rather spend the price of the second seat on other things . But also, more importantly, leaving myself the option of ordering the second seat in case this one didn't turn out like I have envisioned (highly unlikely).

I tried to find the leather A/C surround on the trim shop web page, but couldn't find it on there?
Do they still make that?
Any idea how I could get one in black perforated leather?

Thanks for info; did not see this link prior to my inquiry yesterday.

I'm assuming the Lotus Elise Sport seats are straight bolt in with no additional hardware to be purchased?

Also are the slots the same location/height as the Exige seats? I should have sat in one while I was at the dealer. I don't know if they still have a Sport Elise on the showroom floor.

Thanks
Jeff

Yes, straight bolt in - just did it. And while I can't give you the definitive answer, I see absolutely no reason the slots would be any different than the Exige seats. As a matter of fact, I believe the only difference is the word "Elise."

Love my center console in leather. All black, no white stitching!

Looks great!

Thanks for info Serebo1, couple of other questions.

What about the pump up lumbar support; is that included as well? If not I would just strip it out. Also I'm assuming there were no issues with the stock 3pt belt reinstall? Hard to make out from the pics if they were there were any holes for the bolts.

The lumbar support is part of the seat in the 05's only. The probax seats don't have it IIRC.

Ok upon reading up on the Probax seats I'm a little more edumucated on the '06 seats and the lumbar support issue.

Another thing; how about ride height? I've read several forums discussing the Probax seats. I'm fairly tall and this is a little bit of a concern. I did ride shot gun in an Exige at a track day and did not notice any loss of head room. I normally do track days with the top off, and do not have a hard top.

I'll probably stop at the dealer again this week w my helmet and sit in an Exige or Sport Elise and try it out...Jeff.

My harnesses are rubbing against the sides and I fear will eventually rub off the anodised finish, is there anywhere I can get ready made trim for the sides?

In the interior as you sit in the seat below the sill is the tub the ali there at the sides. I want to trim the sides myself (lotus charge a lot to do it) as the harness rest down there and when not in use scratch. Has anyone ever measured what I am talking about (if you know what I'm talking about , I'm not very good at explaining)?

I have a question, does the pricing including the part that is being wrapped? Like the center console is $310, does that include a new center console, or do we have to ship our unit to you and then they wrap it?

The seats as well, is it $1200 just to rewrap it or does that include a new seat? Seems finding a right sized box and then shipping a seat to Lotus could be a little stressful.

You get all new parts for those prices. You will have an extra set of everything when you are finished.

Great, thanks for replying so quickly.

You may want to add that to the price list just so that is clear....something like "No core needed, Price includeds new part covered in selected material"

I've had the worlds best seats on order since May...it's been 7 months.
(Didn't order through Robert, but someone else I had some loyalty to.)

If you are saving your money up first, forget it, just order and, by the time they come in, you will have the cash.

9 weeks rapidly becomes 9 months...hoping for a happy ending.

I have now waited more than 6 months as well.
