Would it look goofy without a wider rear also?

we can make it custom widths for different wheel sizes. Again it's all based on the community interest at this point.

YES!!! please make it...I would think a good idea would be to size for 8" wide wheels in the front for those of use intending to go flares on the rear for 10" wheels

It looks like the same widebody Lotus custom-built for that one guy racing in the Malaysian GP races, different color though. I'd also be interested in this kit if it were fiberglass and reasonably priced.

Absolutely YES! The area where the front clam joins the door almost look like a Ferrari F40.

Yeah, same wheels, splitter bolts, rear clam design, apparent buckle holding down the front clam, wiper straight up, etc.

Since the TheSaint implied that he hasn't even created a prototype yet, and the "Exige 300RR" has already been modified at least once (you can find pictures of it painted red+white with the same shorter roof scoop and wing mount), I'll wager that this is that same car.

You cannot make an exact replica body kit of that car that fits your car. The rear clam is stretched I'm afraid.

But you could do the front clam at least. I really like the way the wider sides just don't meet the door width, but instead just hang out there like an exit vent. To match a stock rear clam, I wouldn't make that transition point TOO wide though. Perhaps just like an inch and a half per side or something.

All pending on interest we could have a prototype in one week. We are just getting a feel for the community to see if Elise/Exige owners are interested in a new front / rear clam design. Obviously the more interest, the more production numbers for the first run = the cheaper the price. I believe we could offer this in the $1500-$2500 range. That is my goal. The first clam design will be modified to your needs so if there are any requests please post them here so we can start planning the new mold.
