Right now I am fighting with the side vents. They are a real pain in the butt. It is easy to make them for just my car but getting a design that can be produced with no tape and no body mods is proving to be quite a challenge when working with my tooling and my budget. I will figure it out eventually. I must say thanks to my wife who is dealing with me spending LONG nights in the garage and my constant babble about design concepts. She is a trooper. Ok, time for bed.

I KNOW!!! THE TAPE IS PAINFULL!!!! I have not had a request for tape yet but I am going to get some to send it out for the 06+ guys that choose to go with my grills. If they request it as the mounting option of course.

I'm plan to go with the tape. That mesh weighs almost nothing so I expect it to be OK.
I guess when it turns out that it doesn't stick enough I can still move on to rivets (+ hole drilling for my '06) after that.

Not yet. I burned up all my extra material trying to find a solution for the side vents. I should be able to have my welder up and running soon so I will be able to make progress on the front grills.
P.S. 3 more days for the discounted price!! Offer ends on the 20th.

Alright everybody. Here is the newest update. I am planning on going with the exige style side scoops in the end so for now I am holding off on developing the side vents. However, If there is a demand and enough people want the side vents in mesh then I will finish them. I figure it will take about 10 people who want them for me to be able to develop and produce them without losing money. Please post so I know what the demand is for the side vents.
My welder should be up and running in the next few days so I will begin to make progress on the front center grill next week. I plan to have a full car (minus side vents) available within the next 2 weeks. As of right now I can think of about 10 people that want the full car kit. If you are interested in the full car kit (minus side vents) please post also so I can guage the workload I am going to be undertaking.

I'm in for full car kit with surface mount engine grills.
Would like to see the front with and without the opening for the tow hook before choosing. Black powder coated. Side vents pending. Thanks ...........Phil |

20 november is the last day for the discounted price!! Get your orders in if you want to save some money. I am hunting for 2 more orders. They will push me over the edge and I will be able to get the whole thing done faster. Just so you know, it is a $45 dollar savings over the regular price.

I also am curious about the oil cooler vent solution....I'd rather not have to remove the clam if at all possible. If you can make the $500 price point...I'm in. ![]()

Personally I think the surface mounted grills for the engine are way to big and bulky looking. I prefer the more OEM look from the under lid grills. I actually had another guy with an 05 coment on how his did not come with mesh grills and he was wondering why mine did.
I will make the surface grills for those that want them but it will not be until I get spare time and the rest of the car is done. Probably in a few weeks or so. As for the oil cooler vents. I am toying around with a few options. I think I am going to use body clips to attach them. That will make it easily to remove and install with no tape and no drilling. The oil coolers sit back away from the clam just a little so I think I should be able to get my fingers back in there to clip them into place. For the center grill. If it is wanted without a tow hook hole then just be advised that the tow hook mount does stick out a little. That means that the grills without a tow hook hole are not going to be recessed as much into the opening and are going to look a bit more flush with the body.
