I just don't feel like spending 500 bucks on a used dash right now.

Doesn't the LCD light up orange too? I sold my 05 a few years ago... Black and red and yellow/orange would look bad...

Just noticed something. the little divot in the knobs lights up...is this the case on all the newer cars? My 05's knobs don't have lights on them...and I wish they did.

My '07 little divots don't light up.

I'm really sorry guys.

Here's what I have done:

10 transformers wired to cut/punched EL panels

13 backing plates with prtective laminate and standoffs

10 faceplates that are good.

However, the slowdown is that the "die cutting" I wanted to use is not going to fly. So I need to cut them by hand. This means that the edges aren't perfect when the product is off the car, but all these parts are covered up once it's installed. I'll post pics soon.

I'm still not satisfied with the faceplate. I have sent out a few quotes to have it outsourced, will let you guys know more. I'm so busy working on my BMW in my spare time that I haven't devoted as much attention to this as I should.

I am also going to attempt to convert an early style dash to black&white... I have one on the way...
