Thank You!

I am in the process of moving right now so please be patient with me while I unpack, settle in, and attempt to organize. Hopefully will be putting orders back in the mail in a couple days (and finding out where the post office is!)

Nice silver with black pinstripe on your red car! Is your concrete heated or just some good shovelling?
Who installed the graphics?

Not a Lotus but a fun Porsche project I did recently. Former Koni challenge car, gutted, caged, etc etc etc etc.
(yeah yeah, I know crap is coming for it not being an Aston. 007 has been his number forever and the 007 theme is what he requested)

Thanks. That's one of the main reasons we chose that car. The color combination was so good!

Good shoveling. Dad really wanted the driveway cleared when the Lotus arrived!

The stripes were installed at the dealer by the original owner. They are underneath the starshield up front.

After seeing the white with black stripes:

…I'm curious how two red stripes with black accents would look on a white Elise.

Kind of the inverse stripes of:

…but with accents on both sides of both stripes, I guess. As an aside, the above black/red are some of the best stripes I have seen on an Exige yet. Gorgeous.

Anyone have something close they could show?

I am horrible at visualizing these things, which is why I need pictures. Google Image Search needs a “Stripes” pulldown.

The one below is mine! Thanks! And I might be changing the colour of the stripes soon. Luminous yellow with Black small stripes. Stay tuned!

Nice work! I have considered doing a black color around the lights on my Elise, but wondering if it'll look as good as it does on the Exige, since we have the silly non-functional vents on the sides.

Keep us posted on any new stripes! Although I don't think you can top your current setup.

Yeah I agree about my current setup, but i am just sick of the look! Want a change in look.

I dont understand what you meant by black colour aroud the lights. You are talking about the rear? ... If so I think white with Black "Ass" is always nice!

My stripes, provided by Chuforia and installed by me! They are metallic silver (the flake in the silver matches the flake in the paint very nicely) and bright green.

Car is filthy, sorry, I took these pictures at the Dragon and they're the only ones I have with the stripes. Someday I will wash it.

Maggie The car looks great! I like the thin green line separating the silver.

Love the bright green pin stripe. Was that hard to line up next to the silver?

Lining the green up wasn't too hard. It's a half inch wide and the good vinyl is pretty easy to strrreeeettcchhh as needed (around bends and such). You can tell when it's flush with the other stripe since the way the water comes out from between them changes and it's easy to feel that they are smooth as well.

I think that doing it a second time would be easier--I did some things definitely the hard way (like lining up one green stripe then the silver then the other green--the green stripes were super easy, the silver were rather difficult).

Gotcha, one last question...the lotus letters. Did you remove and re-apply?

It had the stickers, so I removed them before applying (leaving the T for centering) and then put the raised letters on after.

Maggie,
First of all thank you for the order. Wow the car looks great! I really like how it came out with the krypton accent. Congrats on doing the install yourself, it looks like you did a great job. Those 2 pieces over the engine cover and the very back of the car can take a little patience. If you have any small bubbles give them several days in the sun before you take the insulin needle to them, they will usually disappear.

(PS keep an eye on the Atlanta area thread, we have another Dragon trip going later this year. Hope to see you there.)

Your car looks great, and now, different than mine. Have you all moved yet? How are those Toyo T1R tires working out? Did you drive all the way to the Dragon from Maryland?

I went the PALS event at Kyles last weekend. What a great garage he has! Have not posted my pictures yet...

I actually went MD-->KY (for a model horse event)-->Dragon-->new house in NC. That's why there is a large cardboard box in the passenger seat; I had to duct tape it to the seat (after wrapping the seat in a towel) to keep it from joining me in the driver's seat. The car was packed to the brim with stuff, so I couldn't take the top off even though it was an incredibly gorgeous day. My roommate and family moved my stuff while I was in KY--best way to move ever!

The T1Rs are great in the rain, but I'm a little dissatisfied with them in the dry. I'm actually considering getting another set of wheels with some stickier rubber. The T1Rs certainly aren't bad tires, I'd just like a bit more grip for spirited driving and I don't feel that they're quite up to the stock tires, for instance. My verdict is awesome for rain, good for normal/highway driving, and ok for spirited driving. I'd like something that's excellent for wet and dry, but I don't think there is such a beast. I just might have to deal with swapping wheels out occasionally.

Wish I could have gone to Kyle's event, would have loved to see people and those cars!
