Piaa "curved" silicone wiper blade...

I have never been happy with the Elise wiper.
I've tried Michelin, Bosch Icon, and conventional frame type blades to no
avail. The aggressive shape of our windshield always causes problems...but maybe a solution is available>>>

Has anybody tried the Piaa super silicone curved wiper blade?
It is "curved", meaning shaped like a U to conform to a U shaped windscreen.
The blade is also silicone, as the cheesy title suggests, and promises to last up to five years.

Tire rack sells them

I have a Michelin blade that is similar...$16 at Wal-Mart Pretty happy with it... it's one long curved piece of rubber with no metal.

That's the blade to which I was referring...it's not bad, but there is always room for improvement.

It hangs off the leading edge of the windscreen.

What size Bosch Icon did you try? The wiper chatter on a brand new Elise drove me crazy (probably sun nuked from sitting on the lot). After scouring the various threads here the Bosch 424A ICON Wiper Blade - 24" seemed like it would suit me. I did notice that others had used other sizes with varied results. The 24" has been great for me.

I have tried unsuccessfully to buy wiper blades for my Elise, but I haven't found one that fits neatly and snugly on the arm.
The arm has a large "J" fitting, and those I've looked at including Bosch, RainX, Michelin, have large J adapters that don't have the little tag that fits in the slot in the arm.
The Adapter in the OEM blade won't fit other blades because it is too wide.
So how did you guys get it to fit? Did you change the arm too?

Rainex 26" blades from Wallmart install easily, and work very well (better than the originals IMO).

I may go with 24" next time, as the last two inches do not touch at the sides where the curvature is the most. However, they work fine on most of the windshield where it matters.

Just as an FYI, Amazon has the Bosch 424A for $17.49 (Amazon actually carries it, not one of the 3rd parties)

I just bought a Trico refill blade (part number 45260) for $3.05

It works just fine, as long as you install it in the right direction (with the "clip" on the inside end of the wiper arm.

All of your fancy expensive wipers aren't going to wipe any more water off the windshield than mine...

No one has mentioned them but I have tried many different blades and find the 24" Valeo the best (and looks awesome as well). Tirerack sells them and occasionally has 2 blades for $19.95.

I only need mine when it rains for days at a time.
Otherwise it's not attached.

The wiper stinks
