Pix of Center Console with Alcantara boots

I recently purchased a center console and AC surround cover in leather to match my OEM interior through Blackwatch Racing.

First off, I DO NOT RECOMMEND the leather covered AC Surround - it adds so much bulk to piece that you can't get it in, plus as it wraps around the inside edges, it actually makes the "opening" surprisingly smaller, making it near impossible to grab the knobs. Having said that (whoops) if anyone wants to buy it, I will gladly sell for $10 plus shipping.

So, after fiddling with the leather covered one, I decided to get rid of the last weird plastic part (ac surround and center console just don't "go" with the rest of the interior in my estimation) by painting it satin black. Piece of cake and I think it really looks good.

The center console I spec-ed with perforated black leather, white stitching and the grey/black alcantara suede shift and ebrake boots to match the little inserts by the door knobs. There is at least one pic where you can see that. This center console is a deadon perfect match. Really incredible.

This really completes the interior to my liking.

Note - I also did the buy $1 worth of bolt, nuts and washers thing to reinforce the shift mechanism whilst I was in there. Tightens up the shift feel nicely plus did not have to spend $45 for Sector 111 kit)

I'll take it - I've got small fingers.

BTW - I think the leather console looks outstanding.

looks good, I havn't seen that combo yet. I got the AC surround covered in alcantera and love it, I did have to trim some of the alcantera to get it to clip in porperly(where you can't see it). My center is the regular leather with perforated boots even though it isn't installed because the hole for the TC button was not cut into.

That looks fantastic. I love the alcantara boots. It really goes well with the leather/alcantara door inserts that are stock. I've never liked pictures I have seen of others' leather covered consoles until yours.

I'm looking for another stock AC surround, if anyone has one for sale.
I would take the leather one, but I see it is already spoken for.

I ordred the leather covered centre console from Lotus- hasn't gotten in yet.
I'll post some pics of that when it does get here.

You can have mine assuming I don't screw up installing the leather one.

I don't see any leather kits at Blackwatch Racing. Am I missing something?

I love grabbing knobs, though some people get really pissed if you don't ask first.

Great job! You should get the leather knob to go with it. Of course you'd lose the shift pattern, hopefully you have a good memory.

Actually, the work is done b y Lotus Trim Shop in England and sold through dealers in the US including blackwatch Racing. You can spec anything you want - in my case, I wanted everything to match my existing interior materials vs picking new colors. Blackwatch asks for VIN so lotus can check their records and ensure leather. colors, stitching, perforations, etc match the car in question. It looks OEM because it really is!

VERY nice. Did you put alcantara around the heater/ac surround? My guess is that will form to the OEM piece better than the leather. Nice seats, too.

Finally got around to cutting up and installing my center console. I had been putting it off because it did not come with a hole for the TC button and I didn't want to risk damaging the leather. Finally driled out the plastic from behind without damaging the elather then cut, folded and glued the leather under and it came out perfectly.

console is smooth leather with perforated boots and the AC surround is alcantara.

With the stock pieces out of the car they REALLY do not look like they belong in there. I think this very nicely completes the look of the interior.

Your center console is the one I referenced in my post of q's for blackwatch! I never liked the look of the leather center consoles, but the perf w/ white stripes looks good. How do you like the alcantara boots? They look alot different that the alcantara center console from the "unofficial thread"

Thanks, it was my car. It's there for the tie rod end replacement. Mine were leaking fluids at both ends.

Looks great Tim!
I think you need matching alcantara door panel inserts now.
