Possible new distributor

Hi guys,

I am thinking about opening a distributorship for a major off shore company. I am judging interest in new parts that would be developed from my car and seeing if they would sell. They will be available in CF and FRP You may notice that many of these parts are not currently being offered. If there are any other parts that you would be interested in seeing please let me know and I will have them made. I would also like to know which items you would be interested in seeing in packages. If packages are ordered vice part by part there will be additional savings. At this time we are working on more interior parts but I will be offering more exterior modifications soon. Shipping will be at a reasonable cost as distribution will be from central U.S., Hawaii, and South America. Please let me know what you think a fair price on these parts would be.

P.S. I will also be offering parts for:

Lamborghini
Ferrari
Porsche
BMW

I'm VERY VERY interested, but I'm super skeptical. Sorry, but I've seen too many threads promising CF parts with nothing ever being produced.

I'd be most interested in all the exterior vents done up, front access panels, boot lid, dash Hood, AC surround, the spacer between the passenger and driver, and the side sills.

I know some of these parts are currently available, but it would be nice to see some competition.

I'd also like to see some new front splitter designs, and rear wings. Nothing crazy.

If you do sills, etc for a reasonable price, you have a customer. So far my definition of reasonable and that that have been offered have not been in sync. Been threatening to make them myself forever but just don't have the time. DIY, would cost me about $50 with plenty of material left over and plenty of time invested. I AM willing to more for someone else to do it of course, but not the $1000+ prices that have been tossed around.

Well, I'm glad you guys started writing. I was getting worried there for a moment. The parts will take a little while for development. They are being shipped to be developed tomorrow and by the end of next week they should be starting. I need as much interest in this as possible. It is extremely scary to invest money into development without an enthusiastic crowd awaiting the parts. I just happen to love this car and am going to get the parts made no matter what the cost.
Your real savings will come through a local distributorship. I am planning on starting one. My goal would be to offer nearly every part of the car in CF. Please pass the word and with intrest I promise parts.
Please also notice that I will be offering parts for other cars. Interest in any parts means distributorship. Cheap shipping and stockpile of parts on hand and ready to ship.

I would be definitely interested in some carbon parts by themselves or as a set. Like previous posters have written, it all depends on price and quality though...

If I were to start the distributorship they would be for about 550-650.

Update

Parts are now being developed. Many of the parts were either not possible or in the case of the airbag cover not safe for aftermarket production. I also have a different part that I am checking interest in. I will need buyers in order to produce the part. I will need a minimum of 10 buyers. Here are the parts that are currently being produced with or without buyers. Following will be parts not previously planned for production and then the part I need interest in to start production.

31 Oct 07 - The prices are as follows but will probably have some adjustments based on number of orders and inport costs. Prices may be better for the first orders. My price on the dash is particularly low because I want to have it produced and think it will be a great contribution to the parts list. Please let me know what you think and we can go from there. There will be a 10% discount for every 5 items ordered. If a package deal is ordered discounting equation is applied for each part in the package. In other words your best deal is to order in a package to recieve a discount and build up to another 10% discount on top of that. If there is interest in larger packages let me know and I will take a look at offering more packages.

For the dash, if you get 10 , how much are we looking at? I'd be in if the price is right. Not sure what that is though, lol.

I am not sure at this point. These parts are under development and I am still working on the details of the distributorship. I will know for a fact that my prices will be a far better price with awsome quality. I am waiting for production cost right now and hope to have them some time soon. Completion date is January 1st on the other parts and I would also like any feed back on those items.

Personally interested in:
- dash pieces (left - center - right - main top - binnacle)
- front access covers
- center console pieces (if the console can be made in one piece with no joined weaves!)
- maybe engine dressup pieces

Not interested in:
- footrest
- hardtop (unless it's really affordable and light)

Please consider making:
- external rear engine cover
- rear exige type spoiler that will work on the elise (like the pb italy one)

Engine cover is already being made. As previously mentioned I already have a large portion of parts for the car. I am focusing on these parts at this time because they are currently under development. In the future I will have a website and all other business details setup. I just need to work out the details of the distributorship. All of my parts will be affordable and that is the main point of me starting this distributorship (not to mention quicker shipping times with more shipping options). Thank you for your input.
