I think I like it better than the stock Grille.

Can you please post a picture of the entire car in order to better tell what they will look like.
Here are the pics with and w/o the Spoiler/Splitter. Please disregard that coke bottle sitting on the top of the car. I did not take this pic for this purpose. I know someone will ask me about my wheels. They are fully Forged wheels 16x7 and 17x8. and fronts are lighter than the SSRs and rears are 1/4 lbs heavier but they are wider. My friend who made these wheels painted them in Gold. But I did not care for the color and as you can see the results that I sand blasted them clean then powdercoated them with 30% gloss Black. They can be available but I suggest wait for the Monolites as I am waiting for mine!

DO you have closer clearer pics of the splitter/spoilers. I really like it but I want to get a better ideal of the look and shine of the carbon fiber and its pattern. Any more pics with it on a yellow car? I see shinoo had a small pic on his site. Its really nice but you guys state it needs to be used with a rear spoiler, to which you do not sell yet.

Can you please offer a plastic or polyurethane splitter for about $200 please for those of us who can live without carbon fiber?

I will get a closer shot on Friday. The rear spoiler is on our way.

KMS,
The grilles look great, but I'm also interested in replacing those cheese graters on the side. The Exige scoops are too after-market looking for my taste. Any chance this is in the works? Also is there a ballpark price for the set yet?

IMO the Exige scoops look more like they "belong" on the Elise than do those cheesey fish gills. My set should be here tommorrow.

Thanks for the larger pictures.

I like the new grill mesh, but would still like to see more pictures.

I'll say it again:
I want a grill set that looks like the Jaguar's R-Type mesh

Don't just keep saying it. Go find it and let me know how you got it.

well there is a shop here that did a custom grill (nearly Type R style mesh) for a friend's Mini S, but I imagine the clam would have to come off to secure the grill in place (assuming they would secure it in the same fashion as the Mini's). I don't want a bmw/mini specialist attempting to take off the clam, and that's assuming they would even want to attempt it. So I was hoping for an Elise specialist (i.e. YOU) to come up with a plug&play version...

if not then that's cool too...

I'll stop asking.

Since we have the molds, if you can come up with a material that you like we can try to make one for you.

Wesley,
What kind of tires and what size are those on the Hethel wheels? Did you get the tires from the States?

Exactly what I was thinking. The RACs will be here soon and there seems to be no good front tire choices.I want something stickier and more durable than the A048s for the track but they need to be able to handle some water on the street. Hoosiers are the only ones I've found that are a good up size but you can't use them everyday. I've spoken to Toyo about the RA1 or the new replacement but there sizes are too tall.

looking at the mesh done on the Mini, the shop molded the pieces to fit the edges/lips of the grill opening and then used clips to hold it in place. they had to remove the front bumper to do the attachment. That's why I haven't approached them with the Elise. I didn't want to have to remove the clam for this mod (yet).

does your set require the removal of the clam? the mesh I'm interested in uses a thicker gauge than the grills available for the Elise. I'm sure you've seen the R-Type mesh. would you be able to work this type of mesh with your current molds?

I love the grills on the jag R series. If you find it will you please let us all know. I'd get them in a second.

Yes, we can use our molds on any material as long as the material can bend to form the molds. Also with our set up, you don't have to remove the front Clam. But we do have to cut out those little black things on the sides. We use tape/clip/plastic fastener combinations.

Shinoo and KMS,

Neat products. Just FYI, I am also interested in the following:

Exige style fiberglass splitter
Mesh grilles for front and radiator vents (would want mine black, but I can paint them easily enough)
Side scoops (perhaps in something cheaper than CF?)
Exige style wing
Exige fastback style engine cover.

I'll probably order the grilles as soon as they are listed on the site.

Thanks!
