Quik Release undertray diffuser kit

HI All,
Just spent the last two hours installing the quick release kit I got from Sector111. An exc. piece of gear, I asked some of the selocers who had the kit and they seemed pleased with it. Had I had help and ramps or lift probably could of done it in an hour. Everything pretty straightforward.

You can drop the tray/diffuser very easily now, it uses dzus fasteners instead of the small bolts. It retains the four hex head bolts in the center (two on the diffuser, two on the tray).

I'd highly recommend this and I suspect your mechanic will love you for this.

Chris

Crash,
Sorry, off the top of my head don't remember, I've had it for a number of months now and finally got around to putting it in.

I'll take some pics tomorrow. Not really a whole lot to see, just the dzus fastener heads, but it sure makes dropping the undertray easier!!

Genjuro is planning on organizing a Group Buy. You'll save more if you get in on it.

Yep, I suppose it's about time to start the thread.

Anyone can PM me as well to put their name on the list. I'll work with Shinoo sometime around the middle part of October. I think that would provide a fairly decent number of people for the buy.

Or rather, anyone could PM you if your box wasn't full.

And a related topic: Randy, it sure would be swell if ET could notify me that the mailbox is full before I write up some big witty missive only to have it tossed in the shredder with "Ha ha.. PM box full."

Why does it say 'Track Use Only'?

I'm assuming because it's not DOT approved, however, the two main bolts each on the diffuser and the undertray are what actually hold the undertray in place, so worse case scenario if ALL of the dzus came unattached simultaneously you'd get some rattling, you WOULDN"T see you pans flying out the back in your rearview mirror.

I queried the seloc guys about this, none have reported issues with losing the fasteners aside from one fellow who said he lost one(some) of the fasteners at service. It's a good idea to explain what it is to your tech when you take it for servicing.

QR Kit Link

Thank the litigious environment in the US for the 'Track Only' disclaimer. As Chris, mentions 4 bolts remain that will keep the rear diffuser/undertray in place if the Dzus failed (though it is unlikely they would all fail at once!). Plenty of motorcycle have their bodywork held in place with these nifty fasteners.

The convenience is significant. In fact we have dealers ordering them as well to speed up service.
