- Allen,
Good to hear Allen.

By the way: I owe instructions to each of you. They should be ready tomorrow, I can e-mail them. Projects are just out of control right now!

I got them on without instructions, though it would seem the "hole-cutter" for Reverie needs a new job.

so how was the install for you?are the reverie scoops wider than stock?im happy to hear you got them on without instructions.that upper mount can be a bit of a pain.once you do it a few times its not bad.

Sort of a pain in the arse...

Yeah the Reverie are wider, and no two are made the same, making it a little difficult. What I did with the upper mount was take one of the bolts out, slide the tab through the opening (which was long side to side, upper bracket was long front to back) and tighten the one bolt as the tab spun around and touched against the inside of the body, enough to brace it to tighten.

Hope any of that made sense.

the way i do the upper mount is to install it with one screw.then tighten it a little.looking for the second hole.then insert the tool into the second hole lining it up with the slot.then install the second screw making sure it catches both sides on the rectangle hole.also dont want to tighten them real tight.it will calapse the bracket.once you have the fit right.i then back out each screw one at a time so they dont move.apply blue lock tite to the screws.re tighten them.light pressure is all that is needed on these.this info is in the instructions for all that have not installed them yet.

It looks like the attachment points would prevent me from easily opening my clam with the clam-hinge. Am I correct or no?

you would not use the bolts that would normally bolt to the clam split line.i think it would work.what is done with the plastic edging around the opening?is it cut where the clam hinges?i think the only thing you might have to do is loosen the scoops before you open the clam.when they are tight.they pinch into the plastic edging.

The plastic edging has been taken off. It looks fine without it. As long as the attachments do not link the bottom and top parts of the clam it would work. Is that the case?

im thinking it would work.i think you may need to apply the plastic edging to the upper portion.above the split line.because on an elise.the scoop would need to rest on the edging at the top around to the back corner on the rear clam.i would need to modify the rear bracket so that it was a bit thicker.being that you are only using the inner bolt.the front bracket does not bolt to the clam.so that will be fine.

I'm impatient and as usual, it's a result of not planning ahead. Can anyone here that has the instructions send me a PM so I can get them? I'm send Thomasio a PM but I'm not sure if he'll respond tonight. Thanks all.
