finally found some time to do the install, but got stuck! I don't have an axle stand, do I need to remove the rear wheel to get to the oem grills? once the oem grills are gone it's gonna be a breeze.....

I don't think you need to remove the rear wheel, what exactly has you stuck? Did I send you the instructions?

Scoops Installed!

Finally got my scoops installed. DIY clearcoated the scoops with Krylon Fusion Clear (UV protectant). They turned out good, but the finish is a little cloudy in places - good enough for me. Also had scoops and intake area clear bra'd.

One of these days I'm going to remove all of the CF and have it professionally finished. The finish on each piece is slightly different.

Thanks - the fit is not perfect, but IMO, looks great nonetheless.

I was very impressed with the quality and fitment of your kit.

The kits are back in stock. 4 kits are already shipped, 6 more remain. Price will be going up on the next batch (anodizing costs have increased), so these 6 are the last at this price.

Attn: Darryl L., Harris, John S. and Roger M.: one of your kits went out without a "upper locking tab." Please let me know which one it was and we'll rush it out to you. Sorry about that!

A few kits remain at the introductory price. New price will be close to $200 so get 'em while you can at the $178 price.

My ELise has the vf2 supercharger setup. Will these scoops dramatically increase airflow to the intercooler? Does anyone with a vf1 or vf2 kit have exige scoops and if so can you attest to an increase in cooling to the IC?

There was a thread about airflow across the Exige S intercooler, then someone got wide scoops and ducted piping.. but I don't think there's any Elise to Exige scoop measurements.

I should however note that there must be a bit, especially at the top. If you take a look at your stock vents, the very top is blocked almost completely... no idea why Lotus did that.

Yea, I was thinking of cutting the blocked portion out or remove the whole plastic thing for a while to gauge if that helps. I don't think the addition of exige scoops will increase the airflow dramatically. They look good on Exiges' though.
