i think the exige scoops are a big improvement.without a scoop there.with the grill or without the air is not guided to the entry.with the scoop.you have a rolled and guided path for the air.i had the wider scoops on my elise for a few days and i did notice a few degrees cooler water temp from more cooling around the engine.

could you PM me a price for the kit shipped to 07014 (Clifton, NJ) - I will most likely purchase them and along with the mesh kit that you guys sell. I'm in the process of sourcing a set of OEM starlight black exige scoops, if not that, would you even recommend going for the ebay scoops? lmk a final shipped price for both products together.

NCI Bracket & Ebay scoops installed

Just finished with the install of the kit & painted CF ebay scoops. Just waiting on the mesh to finish it off...awesome kit and love the look now. :

Before

Brackets Installed & aligned:

Scoops sanded & prepped:

Finished (You can see a tiny gap at the top of the scoop, but I fault the scoop shape, not the brackets, for the fitment problem. The same gap exists on both sides):

What a difference! RLS is very pleased with our partnership with NCI. Kevin's engineering and fit and finish are second to none... better than OEM!

wow that color is hot.your fit looks good to.that gap at the top is how the scoop is cut.on an exige there is an inner lip that hides the gap.that is why i think its best to leave the plastic edging on to help fill that gap.

that makes sense. I just noticed the Exige clam difference in apk919's pics on the RLS/NCI Mesh thread...I hadn't considered removing the plastic trim; glad I left it in place.

Just got around to installing the bracket kit this past weekend. Ended up purchasing Ebay scoops (glass covered w/ CF), because I wanted to keep the look simpler (not extra wide).

It all fits together quite well. Massive props for the bracket kit itself... It really is an elegant solution!

Just some tips. The right side install can be done pretty easily from the outside or through the engine bay with the right tools. The left side? It took far less time to remove the rear wheel and undo the two bottom wheel-well screw/clips to go in from there rather than trying to get to the bolts from the outside. The wheel well cover doesn't have to be removed, you can just bend it aside to get your arm in.

Looking forward to the mesh kit to complete the look!

Pictures?

Kevin is out supporting a race team for another two weeks... he is rebuilding a car after an incident at Road America. As soon as he returns to the shop, the mesh kits will be going out. Thanks for your patience.

Finally found the time to install the scoop, I was one of the first people who bought the kit but didn't have the time to put it on, and here it is!!

The kit itself is faultless, it has the adjustability to accommodate the worst ebay scoop knockoff. Be sure to read the enclosed instruction, when it says place a rag down on the bottom of the opening to catch any dropped hardware, do as it says, otherwise dropped screws can never be retrieved ever again I now have one missing screw as can be seen in the closeup photo

Nice work! Looks excellent.

Are you going to add the screens, or go without?
