Designer,

They will sell you a wing direct. Email Stefano there (via the contact email link). They are very nice to work with. I have some very nice pictures of the wing and front splitter.

Its not cheap, but none of the CF parts for this car are... I think it was around 1000 Euros shipped to the US.

But, IMO, this is the best looking wing for the Elise. By FAR. I'm leaning towards getting one in the near future.

Plus its functional and they have done testing. The downforce specs are on their site.

Dave,
Thank you for your response. I agree with you. It's the best one I have seen and I am very interested in ordering one. Would you be kind enough to send me the pictures? Please PM me and I will send you my address.
Cheers,
Jaime

I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH THEM AS WELL. Problem is they are also charging VAT @ 20% in that price.

For some reason they are not setup to exclude it on exports. To which I dont understand why?? They asked if I had an exemption number. To which I dont have. Does anyone here have one? I would buy it but I dont want to pay an extra $200.00 for nothing more then them not knowing how to export properly.

This isn't the best solution but you could pay the vat and then fill out the forms to get it back.

This is what I got from a generic translator about the Pb-racing wing:
"The new back wing in carbon for the Elise Mk2 is realized in fiber of carbon; the profile derives directly from the profile already used on the Exige Mk2 and brags a load of about 130kg to about 160/170 km/h, besides to confer therefore a determined more aggressive look, without to compromise it the elegance, the new wing from to the car a loaded best aereodinamico. The assembly is simple. The material in which can be realized are the same of the hard top, namely carbon, kevlar, carbon kevlar and a special silver carbon of fiber."

I do like the look, esp since is real close to the Exige. $1000-1200, if it's really high quality, outta of the way to access the trunk, and the support config makes sense, pricey but I could live with it...

PB Racing Carbon fibre rear wing and splitter

I have ordered a carbon fiber wing and fiberglass splitter from PB racing for my Elise. They are ready to be shipped to me pending my wire transfer arriving in Italy. The wing and splitter can be seen on the www.PBracing.it website. The VAT can be refunded, however the shipping costs are not insignificant. Once shipped the wing and splitter should arrive within 7-10 days. I'll post pics when the goodies arrive.

From what I understand the shipping for the wing is 1030,00€+VAT 700,00 is for the wing the remaining is for shipping. 330,00 for shipping

Total for delivered with vat is about $1500.00 US

What's the total breakdown on the costs?? I am going to pass on their splitter. I am ordering the Reverie carbon fiber version.

PB racing wing and splitter

This is how it breaks down. PB racing Wing AND Splitter, 826,00 euro or $1008.99 for both using today's exchange rate of 1.221. Price for wing alone is 700,00 euro. Price for splitter alone is 320,00 euro. Special export price and discount for ordering both reduce the price to 826,00 euro or $1008.99. NO VAT. Several shippers are available. PB racing will help you find one. Shipping is expensive! If you make a purchase while visiting Italy, request a VAT refund form, fill it out and submit for a VAT refund. Bank transfer takes a while for money to be received by PB racing. US funds must go from your Bank to a US corresponding Bank then to an Italian Bank then to the PB account.

PB Racing shipped the Carbon fiber wing and fiberglass splitter to me this morning. It should arrive in 7-8 days from Italy.

PB Racing wing and splitter

The PB Racing wing is carbon fiber and the splitter is unpainted fiberglass. I plan to paint the splitter Ardent Red to match and clear coat the carbon fiber wing.
For more detail about all of the PB Racing products, e-mail Stefano d'Aste or Laura at info@pbracing.it. You may call Stefano or Laura at 01139035203396.
I will take pics when the goodies arrive.
The wing and splitter should help the performance of the Elise by allowing late braking, improving traction in turns and improving acceleration out of turns. Getting to maximal speed more quickly and carrying speed deeper into the turns is more important, in my opinion. than acheiving the maximal speed on the straights. However, my maximal straightaway speed and lap times at Robeling Road earlier this week were better with a passenger (downforce?) in the car. We'll see.

Luc - Is the wing and/or splitter adjustable?
