LOG News and pictures

Mick
What else did you learn at LOG? Got Pictures?
Any news on the circuit car, blower or turbo?
PB Racing CF wing is stable with the installation you saw at RA.

The Circuit Car will come, but they didn't give any time frame.

They're working on the supercharger, but have to go through EPA certification, which takes times and is expensive. Simon kept mentioning how everything they offer has to make a good business case to Group Lotus, so I imagine they'll work on getting the supercharger out for the Elise first, then the Exige later.

Yeah, thats a great idea! Lotus, if you are listening...it makes a lot more sense to work on the supercharger for the Elise first!

Ultimate Elise track car

The ultimate track car, in my opinion, is a Federalized Lotus Elise that handles well in the curvy parts (done), brakes well (done), accelerates quickly out of the turns (TBD) AND achieves higher straight line speed (TBD).
The 2ZZ engine with proper air/fuel management can and will provide the acceleration and straight line speed the Elise needs AND remain reliable. What performs well on track Sunday sells on Monday.

So have there been any other developments with the installation of this wing? I've got a similar wing from all4elise.com and will be installing it soon, have the six bolts holding on the wing been enough? Looking for any advice before i go ahead with it!

Thanks!!

Wow that wing is sick.... but of course, every site on this thread doesn't exist anymore... so where I can get this rear wing?

PBRacing - Home doesn't seem to show it anymore... and all4elise isn't a real site... and ragnorakracing doesn't work.

Without internal bracing, wouldn't the wing attached to the boot lid cause too much stress upon it?

Small wings are for looks only. If you want real downforce you need real wings, like the Reverie or APR.

The Exige wing is barely functionnal. The sleeker body, front spoiler and rear wing all account to 90lbs more down force than an Elise. So about 45lbs for the wing and 45 for the splitter (no idea what the body is worth). Anything that puts function over looks is gonna best that.

I was always envious of the rear wing on the Exige. Well heck, I like everything on the Exige. I even like the name Exige better than Elise, but I have an Elise and can't see myself upgrading any time soon.

I ordered and installed the GTC-200 CF wing from APR performance this weekend. It went pretty smooth. Hardest part was figuring out which bolts to use where. The kit is really nice. They give you everything except the 10 M8 lock nuts you need (they have a mistake on the parts included list).

Here are some crappy pics from my Iphone. I really like it

I'm considering the APR also. Did you notice any difference when you first drove it? Maybe more stability in the back?
