Hummer, no. GM of Europe, quite possibly. Why spend money developing your own when you can buy them cheaply.

On my exige, they just popped right off... but they are only held on with a plastic hinge, which was white at the top looking like it was about to break off any day.

So maybe this is a mistake. The part costs $11 from your lotus dealer but elise-shop has them for $1.28 which is probably how much it cost to make.
