>>>My dealer took a look. They were quite surprised. They tried several solvents to no avail. They took pictures and are submitting it as a warranty claim. I'll let you know what comes of it.<<<

I wonder if it could actually be *under* the film hence cleaners won't help? As in algae or bacteria growing in a tiny residual amount of whatever liquid they use to install this stuff.

The spots appear only in association with road grime. Flick a spot of grime off and a spot has formed directly under.

I haven't heard from my dealer. I thought I'd give them a couple of weeks.

I finally spoke with Ken @ 3M. He is their technical representative for this product. I used to work with him at 3M and know him well.

Ken says these spots will fade if you leave the car out in the sun for a few days. Sometimes one day is enough. Do not wax over the yellow spots as the wax will prevent the UV from fully 'bleaching' the spots.

Of course waxing your clear bra will help prevent the spots in the first place.

Give it a try and let us know how it works.

When did you first notice this Jenn?
We noticed it on the dealers showroom floor, before we actually even purchased the car. We brought it up with the dealer, and he said we'd need to talk to LCU ( we were on our way over anyway). Told LCU, LCU told us to talk to starsheild rep.

Nope, I dont think its cig burns, Im thinking someone got the hairdryer too close when applying it.

I hadn't heard from my dealer so I gave them a call two weeks ago. Starshield is going to send them a cleaner they say will work. The dealer is going to send it to me. I'll give it a try even though I tried everything commercially available. BTW, the spots did not fade over time.
