Stormtrooper Elise (NOT 56K friendly!)

I've been slowly building up the interior and exterior on my Elise over the past couple years, and finally got a chance to take some decent pics. It's still a work in progress, but at a point now where I'm pretty happy with the car and how it's turned out.

Here's a couple teaser pics while I get all the photos uploaded! Maybe you can figure out why I call it storm trooper

I'm not much for changing a car that is pretty perfect, but you've done this in very good taste. Love the McIntosh. Nice job.

Thanks, I got the idea from Novitec Novitec Rosso F430 Bi-Compressor Evoluzione

Wasn't sure if I'd like it, but once I decided to do an all black/white exterior scheme, I pulled the trigger on it

Thanks in advance!

I love the rear LED black and red combo. Good job. This makes the car looks more than its worth.

I wish the car comes like this from factory!!

How do the piano black interior components hold up handprints, scratches, dirt, etc. I gave some serious consideration to trying that myself but was worried.

Also, if you could post a few more photos of those components that would be great.

Overall, this is one of the best-looking interiors on any Lotus I have ever seen.

They are the stock 06 taillights, just tinted black. CarNutz used a paint, not a film, to make them that way. The side markers were done the same way.

ALL the work was done by CarNutz, so your best bet is to talk to Jim Pan there (425-641-0922). I think I installed the shift knob and carpet buttons myself, that was about it I can say however that the piano black lacquer is waaaay cheaper than doing wet lay carbon fiber pieces, and the rest of the work is competitively priced as well. Definitely less than what I've seen dealers charging for similar items (painted consoles, alcantara dashboards, etc...).

Also, for those who don't know, CarNutz is one of the best known customization shops on the west coast, you can see their work in numerous magazines and at carshows. Some of their best known cars are a crazy blue Gallardo (featured in ML&E June '07) and an even crazier CL600 (coming up in a future MLE issue). The quality of their work is up there with Brabus or Mansory, in my opinion.
