Stripes on hood only?
anyone have done the stripes on the front hood only? Also can you put it over the starshield?
Please post up photos of what you have done! thanks

I don't think and current Lotuses have hoods - but if there is one I wouldn't strip on it - those clams...errr, sorry - hoods are only fiberglass - so if someone were to strip on it, it would probably crack from the weight of whomever is stripping.

semantics and nomenclature aside:
I have never been a fan of stripes (but have, in the past, been a fan of strips - the low class seedy kind without a guy with a tux at the door pretending it is somehow "classy") - but I digress. However, I think that stripes on the front clam only would be nice and obviate the issue with putting them on the engine cover, which is a busy bit anyway. To make it work visually I would think you would have to vary somewhat from standard stripes and maybe taper them towards the front and slightly widen near the windshield, or something to that effect. Basically, make it look intended and finished. I'm thinking along the lines of the ferrari scuderia. Now, carry on with the semantic banter.

my attempt at actually being helpful: anyone that has starshield and vinyl stripes that i've seen (including myself) has put the stripes on over the SS. looks great!
