kmt63's Standoffs

Kevin sent me a set of his standoffs, and I've checked their fit with the TWRD scoops.

First... the holes I drilled in the TWRD side scoops were intended to be used with a set of aluminum brackets that I fabricated myself. That means I could control standoff distance, and both vertical and horizontal placement. I did this because I wanted maximum flexibility in fitting the scoops.

If I were using standoffs instead, I would have mounted the standoffs first, and then used their positions to determine the proper location of the holes to be drilled in the scoops.

That said, the standoffs should be a great solution. I've posted some pictures of the fitment process.

Pics:

1) Standoffs mounted in the stock Exige scoop mounting holes
2) Same as above, different angle
3) Scoop mounted with standoffs... as explained above, the lower hole in the side scoop was not aligned closely enough with the lower standoff to make use of it. But you can see that the height of the standoffs give the TWRD scoops a close fit to the OEM scoops.

Yes, I think this will work well for Exige owners looking to fit the TWRD scoops.
