Under tray black triangle piece broken

On the way back from summerfield last night I hit a piece of a blown up tire in the middle of the road. Heard a big cunk and got scared. I pulled into a rest area to asses the damages. The front clam looks fine. Nothings cracked just a lot of black from the tire on the license plate part of the front clam.

Then I looked under the car and notice the middle triangle piece of the three was dangling. My question is... How important is this piece, how much will it cost for a new one and is it easy to install?

Only one of The tabs on the black triangle piece broke. I think I can super glue it and try to put it back in buim not sure how to get it in. Would it bE ok to just leave it off and get it fixed at nExt service or should I try ti fix it now?

Awesome. It still bothers me that it's not on the car. How does it go in? Just snap it into place?

That triangle is a structural frame support, total loss!

To get it back on, take off panel and put back into it's slot from the other side. I have one with a broken tab and it stays fine. I didn't realize they were so cheap to replace! I'll probably order one next time I'm at the dealer.

Had to remove all three to get something out that had been accidently dropped down through the engine compartment while I was away from home. Easy to get them off from the bottom but not easy to get back on.

Left them off for several weeks of normal driving until I had an oil change and had the panel off to replace them. Noticed absolutely nothing different. With the panel off, they just slid into place easily.

You now know that they are cheap to replace. But if you are going to glue one back in place, DON'T superglue it. Clear silicon "glue" works if necessary and is removable when necessary.

now I understand what you meant by the triangle piece.

that tire must have gotten slung up under there pretty good to knock one of those out! Glad it didn't break your clam, hard to super glue that back together
