The problem isn't the sliders, its that the passenger seat is hard against the sill and right at the back. The centre console is offset toward the passenger and the drivers seat is also closer to the cetre of the car. This is because the tub narrows towards the front of the car and to allow the drivers seat to move forwards it needs to be further from the sill so as not to hit it when forward. The passengers seat is therefore hard against the sill at the back and would hit the sill if moved forward at all. If it were to move parallel to the sill it would immediately hit the centre console. In short there is no way to have the passenger seat move more than a few centimeters and therefore its not worth the effort.

If I could just move the seat up a little I could fit the bag for a cool suit behind the seat and still be able to take a passenger / student.

On track I am more concerned with my comfort than theirs.

i do when the GF decides she want to drive, the only advantage of adjustable pass seat is acces and storage.

when i sit shotgun in any car i try to always put the slider all the way back...more comfy and much safer in case the airbag deploys

Dont do that ! Seats rails ramp are craps anyway! They become loose over the time and the seat have a play when you brake or accelerate hardly.... Even the driver seat shouldnt have those adjustable rails ramp. The solution would have been '' adjustable pedals '' ..

Oh.. And my driver's seat is bolted to the car too and does not move either, but then I have these:

Lightweight Sports Seat - £385.00 : Lotus Elise Parts, eliseparts.com

(and 6-point harnesses)

Bye, Arno.

Because passengers are weight-adding scum and are not deserving of an adjustable seat for comfort.
