Question Why are my center caps so funky?

Here's a picture. They look hand painted. Is it because I have such an early build date? VIN #0063

I was wondering if I should leave them alone if I want this 0063 to remain as original as possible.

Not hot really, maybe in the 80s mostly during the summer. Something is not right with the orig caps. I replaced them with the black and silver ones. They looked 100 times better.

Is there any sun in Redmond, Washington? Mine are three and half years old, they face the Rocky Mountain sun every day, and they look new...

Delliot,

You drive by any nuclear plants recently?

Heh, mine melted in CT after about 6 months. I'm with Randy, the car is too awesome for color to stick.

Maybe the people that drove fast enough that extreme centrifugal forces made the paint seem like it was on a spin-art table!
